PRISM Profiling and Development
What is PRISM?
PRISM is one of the measurement and assessment tools that Mdina offers as part of our individual development initiatives. We use it as a basis for self-awareness, dialogue and action in executive coaching and in our accelerated leadership and management programmes.‘PRISM Professional’ is the ultimate profiling instrument. This sophisticated, online, neuroscience-based instrument provides users with the most comprehensive range of information about behavioural preferences. Outputs include:
- an in-depth personalised report, profile maps showing a candidate’s natural preferences, adapted preferences and consistent preferences
- an Emotional Intelligence profile
- a ‘Big Five’ profile
- a ‘26 point Career Development Analysis’ chart
- an overall profile text narrative.
Personal Performance Mapping is a specifically designed to identify the behavioural preferences that directly relate to personal relationships and work performance.
What are the benefits?
PRISM specifically identifies characteristics and behaviours linked to relationships and work performance, which enables us to quickly focus on individual’s challenges and personal development priorities. We explore this information with individuals in confidential, focused and intensive coaching sessions, to understand the impact this has on them and others in the workplace. Whether working with new leaders, experienced managers or developing your talent pool, PRISM identifies the capabilities that make a real difference, and provides an excellent basis for personal development. How do you use it?
Once we have set the scene with individuals and tied this into their existing development initiatives, they then complete the PRISM online questionnaire, which enables us to generate a comprehensive personal profiling report. A 90 minute coaching session with one of our qualified executive coaches provides feedback to explore and interpret the results, enabling individuals to focus on goals and actions. To ensure the learning is integrated and translated into tangible results, we plan two further 90 minute coaching sessions over a 3-6 month period, as from experience, individuals see a significant improvement in their development by the end of the third session.
If you are also integrating a 360° assessment, we would recommend introducing these results in a separate coaching session to the PRISM self-assessment feedback. This is to aid understanding, and to avoid overload as the added dimensions of observer assessment and comments often requires a deeper discussion to explore the important realities, emotions and learning involved.
